LOST: Bound to piss off some hard-core fans and placate many, many others, ABC has announced a very unusual deal for the serial drama: three more seasons of 16 episodes each, and then that's it! Really! (Except the thing is, no one's going to cancel a hit, so if it really hangs on that long, here's betting they decide to change their own rules.) Really what this signals is that dramatic series on network stations are looking more and more like what's on premium cable, and that I might add this past season, when I fell off the island, back onto my summer DVD queue.
ENTOURAGE: Very funny, very enjoyable, only a little bit gay. Ari manages to not (completely) abandon/disappoint/enrage Mrs. Ari, despite skipping out on Yom Kippur services to try to land Vince his movie. Don't worry, he's still obsessed with getting his boy back. E and Vince continue to act like they're having a threesome with Amanda and no one should get his feelings hurt. And Drama (shocker!) wears a super gay shirt and goes to see man about a horse. Gayness: 4 out of 10.
BROTHERS & SISTERS: This guy is lamenting the loss of 7th Heaven as a death knell for family drama, but only because he apparently isn't watching the Walker clan get drunk, have food fights and demonstrate once again that the family that gossips together stays together.
