Yesterday was George Michael's 44th birthday, but for a change he wasn't the one shocking the crowd.

"If the invitation said barely-there black dress and curls, then Geri Halliwell was perfectly dressed," sniped the Daily Mail.

And sure, the celebration was swank, but as the Guardian points out the real present was this month's grand reopening of Wembley Stadium:
