This rumor has been making the rounds all week, so I'm sure you're all shocked that I've been crossing my fingers and hoping it's true. And it is! Lance is gonna be in Hairspray on Broadway!
The former member of 'N Sync is set to join the cast of the musical "Hairspray" next month, the Daily News has learned.
Bass, a wanna-be astronaut who tried to buy his way onto a Russian Soyuz space mission in 2002, will take over the role of Baltimore dance show emcee Corny Collins when he joins the Tony-winning musical on Aug. 14, the day before "Hairspray" celebrates its fifth anniversary on Broadway.
Bass' cast mates will include Jerry Mathers, who starred in the classic 1950s sitcom "Leave It to Beaver," pop singers Darlene Love and Tevin Campbell, and fellow former boy-bander Ashley Parker Angel of O-Town.
Lance, Tevin and Ashley Parker Angel on one stage at the same time? This might be too much for the world to handle. (Also, take that, Travolta.)
