I spent an hour today catching up on my little gay soap opera over at As The World Turns, still kindly compiled by a fabulous fan over at YouTube.
Since the dramatic kiss between Luke and Noah a month ago, the boys have been traveling the usual confused coming out storyline. Noah's got a psycho, hateful dad who'd rather see Noah shacking up with his 18-year-old girlfriend (Maddie) than even hang out with Luke, his obviously gay friend.
Maddie's got this super-gay brother, Henry, who is apparently not gay at all but does dispense the world's best advice. And our heroes, naturally, can barely be in the same room together without having screaming sexual tension and/or a major fight -- always witnessed, in part, by Maddie.
The scene where she comes to Luke to ask what's going on between him and Noah, and he tells her everything she needs to know without actually saying so, is kinda heartbreaking in its honesty. They've done a nice job of making Maddie likable and accepting -- and letting Luke be confident in his sense of self and that he deserves somebody who's at least trying to work through his issues.
Okay, now you're basically all caught up, if you don't want to kill some time on Hump Day watching the highlights. The boys are back on the air today and tomorrow!
One other piece of trivia -- the Luke & Noah kiss posted by this fan has been viewed almost half a million times. CBS recently put up their own official version (which is an awesome and smart move!), though they're trailing in the popularity contest by, oh, some 498,000 hits.

Gotta say, these are hot episodes and has made me a fan of As the World Turns (even though I wish they would get rid of all the other 40-some chatacters they have. Its hard to keep track).
It takes me back to my high school days with me and a best friend and all the drama we had to put up with when we were "trying" to get together. Unfortately, the army got in the way and then his wife...u get the idea.
