Apparently I missed the memo where MySpace music mistress Tila Tequila announced she is bisexual. But the contestants on her new dating/reality show on MTV -- which my source inside says is a "brilliant trainwreck" -- are evenly split between dudes and dykes.
Sounds great! Uh, except here's Tila's post about it, via Idolator:
the only twist is that these guys and these girls have NO IDEA that I am bisexual and that they are competing against each others sexes!!! GUYS AGAINST GIRLS....WHO WILL I END UP HOOKING UP WITH????? WILL I BE STRAIGHT OR LESBIAN IN THE END?????
OH MY GOD CAN YOU STAND THE SUSPENSE?! (Not-confidential to Tila: It's okay to be both, you know.) I'm not a big fan of gotcha!-gay reality games. Then again it's not like any of this is all that real. And I'll admit I like a good trainwreck now and then.

Get your more old-fashioned (well, relatively speaking) pop divas right here:
> J-Lo's new video, directed by David LaChappelle, looks like Christina's video for "Dirrty" if "Dirrty" had been set in an underground dancey gay bar (and not, you know, an underground S&M lounge). [Thanks Liz]
> Of course you're going to watch the MTV Video Music Awards for the Britney show. If you've forgotten why it might actually be worth your time, Defamer has a nice recap of VMA show-stoppers in years past.
