George Michael interviews are sort of tricky to take seriously -- every single sensational sentence gets pulled into tabloid headlines, for one, and he's usually a bit too sarcastic to translate very well.
But the excerpts from this new conversation on Radio 4 include one glass closet gem:
"I'd been out to a lot of people since 19. I wish to God it had happened then. I don't think I would have the same career -- my ego might not have been satisfied in some areas -- but I think I would have been a happier man."

while i don't want to think about a world where Faith and Listen Without Prejudice don't exist, i do wonder what would have happened if he were out then.
