One unintended possible consequence of the stagehands strike on Broadway -- now sure to last at least a little while longer -- could be a whole generation of hapless tourists who meant to see something else...and instead wound up with Die Mommie Die!
Die Mommie Die!, an Off Broadway show at New World Stages on 50th Street, starring Charles Busch, in drag, [has] a plot that revolves around a poisonous suppository. Mr. Busch was startled to find that 45 junior high students from Montreal were coming to his little comedy on Saturday night instead of the strike-shuttered production of Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
"I thought it was going to be disaster, because 45 kids can just kill a show," Mr. Busch said, adding that the teacher did not seem to know anything about the show. But the students turned out to be a very enthusiastic audience. "Ten years from now," he said, "if there's a rash of cross-dressing in Montreal, you’ll know who to pin it on."
Awww. Cross-dressing teenagers, now brought to you by the folks who brought you the weekend.

hey cool post!!! sounds impressive..
I went to see this show Holiday Wonders last year and thought it was very beautiful. I went to a matinee so there were a lot of children and seniors there, everyone loved it. It had slow dances, martial arts and Chinese legends all woven in. You can take a look at my blog for some pictures of last year’s show or go to this website: www.holidaywonders.net.
