Cracks in the glass closet?

My buddy Greg Hernandez over at Out in Hollywood reports on an interesting moment at the 16th annual Women in Entertainment Breakfast on Tuesday:

Toward the end of her remarks, Jodie thanked those nearest and dearest to her. Among them was "my beautiful Cydney who sticks with me through all the rotten and the bliss."

That would be Cydney Bernard, the woman whose last name Jodie's kids share. But she's not talking about her personal life! (Thank God Greg actually leaves the house on a regular basis, unlike some bloggers I know...)

The totally unsourced rumor about Queen Latifah allegedly proposing to her girlfriend, by the way, remains just that: totally unsourced and unconfirmed. But I've gotten so many emails and IMs about it this week that I feel obligated to at least tell you that much. (I'm not saying the Queen's many denials aren't question-raising. I'm just saying this story seems a little out of left field.)

I will also say that for an industry where everyone likes to say it's nowhere near as "hard" for women to come out, we're hardly seeing an epidemic of loose-lipped lesbians.
