The year-end issue of ESPN magazine just landed in my mailbox (why? I don't know! I don't even subscribe!) and even though there are apparently two possible covers, I totally got the gay one: IndyCar racer and Dancing With the Stars champ Helio Castroneves dressed up like Cab Calloway and couples-dancing with Barry Bonds.
Oh, what am I saying? The other cover is Tom Brady, so they're both pretty gay. Plus appreciate the other headline on both versions: Gregg Jennings ♥ Brett Favre. Ah, even in text the sporno is screaming out for attention.
Our man John Amaechi's big coming out comes in on the mag's list of 100 biggest sports stories at No. 42.
The area where Bonds is holding the bat is also very interesting.
