Alison Goldfrapp gives us woodies!

I know all you electro-disco lovers are stoked about Goldfrapp's forthcoming full-length album, Seventh Tree, out February 25. Though you may be surprised by the duo's musical change of pace, I doubt you'll be disappointed with their turn toward dramatic folky sounds this time around.

While you eagerly await the release, check out the new video for their first single, "A & E," in which titular diva Alison Goldrapp becomes a dazzling bucolic beauty while a troupe of strange woodland creatures dance and frolic around her. It's very Jim Henson meets the 1973 cult classic The Wicker Man.

If you haven't seen this pastoral horror-musical about a girl who goes missing on an island full of cryptic weirdos, you absolutely must. It's truly one of the most bizarre, campy, sexually subversive films I've ever seen, and Alison Goldfrapp recently told me she was inspired by it while writing Seventh Tree. We've even given you a little primer to the film.
