Out's Jason Lamphier is so much better at watching The L Word -- and TV in general, possibly -- than I am. Look, he even made lesbian sex jokes this week! He really must be paying attention.

Well, Shana, you might have been right about me last week when you said I was a bigger girl -- and a better lesbian -- than you. Sunday brunch with my homo friends found me passing up a slice of coconut cream cake and uttering these words: "Oh no, I can't do dessert now. I have my L Word party tonight, and I know I'll be eating ice cream at it." I was met first with stunned silence, then eye rolls, then a storm of mocking laughter. Turns out I'm not only a big girl and a budding lesbian -- I'm also the new calorie-counting butt of my gay guy friends' jokes. But it's a small price to pay for these addictive lesbian romps.
Speaking of budding lesbians, eating out, and cake, what do we think of Shane’s jaw-dropping (quite literally) escapades at the wedding she helped style on last night's episode? The loose little heartbreaker hooked up with not one, not two, but three ladies she groomed for the nuptials, including the bride's mom. Cougar alert! I won't spoil it by spilling all the details, but the soap tipped toward the side of softcore porn meets Shakespearean comedy of errors (not that I minded, of course). Apparently, Shane's going to try to give up sex all together on next week's ep. Isn't that like our Popnography blogger trying to give up her crypto-homo emo rocker obsession? Think Shane can do it? [Ed. note: I think we're equally unlikely to make that lifestyle change.]
Meanwhile, Jodi's male interpreter has developed a crush on our beloved Max (played by Out 100 honoree Daniela Sea). And it seems the show is taking cues from the British delinquent-ladies-behind-bars drama Bad Girls as Helena got a little action in the slammer, but not before a sopping-wet clash in the shower with a dangerous lady convict wielding one sharp knife -- and two terribly saggy ass cheeks. No coconut cream cake for that one, either.
