Once more with funny

I know we don't have that long to wait before the new season of Battlestar Galactica (aka hotties in space) -- the new and final season begins April 4, though the second half of it may not air until well into the fall, due to strikus interruptus -- but I wasn't expecting to be let down already!

In an interview with the Chicago Tribune, BSG's admiral, Ron Moore said Buffy creator Joss Whedon will most likely not be lending his hand:

Whedon, a big fan of “Battlestar,” very much wanted to direct a “Battlestar” episode, but it looks as though he probably will not be able to do so, thanks to his commitment to a new Fox series, “Dollhouse.” “He really wanted to do it, but I’m dubious that it will work out,” Moore said.

Speaking of Whedon, I am so freaking fired for missing this for four whole days. From Joss himself:

During the strike I started writing a musical intended as a limited internet series, 3 episodes of approximately 10 minutes each... Today, after a grueling week of writing everything ever while trying to be a producer, I got to start shooting. A musical.

This much I will say: It's the story of a low-rent super-villain, the hero who keeps beating him up, and the cute girl from the laundromat he's too shy to talk to. And I'm having the time of my life.

And a cast of Dozens!

Two of my favorite actors singing along to crazy Joss Whedon's musical scores! (That's Nathan Fillion up there on the right giving Joss a neckwear adjustment.) Also anyone who doesn't know that NPH's Barney is so capable of busting into a full song and dance routine is sorely, sadly missing out on something amazing.

Now if only we'd had a musical episode of BSG. (Not counting "All Along the Watchtower" montages here...)
