Though it's a little hard to tell from the final results, our photo shoot with Greg Berlanti and his ABC boys was actually done on the set of Brothers & Sisters, at Disney's studios in Burbank. Specifically, the guys got their hair and make-up done in the Walker family kitchen -- Berlanti told us his own mom is green with envy at all the space -- and then set up for portraits in what passes as the yard (above).
My favorite details as I wandered through the rest of the house -- very high ceilings, as we joked, with plenty of room for unnatural lighting -- were all the family photos in the living room. Some were snapshots that looked like they came from earlier episodes, some were obviously Photoshopped, and some -- like this one of Sally Field (matriarch Nora Walker) and babe, below -- looked suspiciously snagged from someone's actual family album.
Here's the inside scoop from ABC on what that crazy Walker clan will be up to next... (Stop reading now if you don't want to be spoiled!)
"As Brothers & Sisters hurtles to its finale, all the Walkers face life-changing decisions. Nora wonders where to take her relationship with Isaac (literally and figuratively). Robert and Kitty find themselves struggling with infertility, when Robert is made a political offer "no one can refuse." Justin and Rebecca's friendship is threatened by the surprising result of a paternity test. Saul is pushed to come to terms with his identity, while Kevin and Scotty take a huge step in their relationship. And Sarah, Tommy, and Holly find themselves in a crisis regarding the family business, which changes the stakes for everyone. And if that's not enough, by season's end, Nora will once again be fighting to hold her family together when an unforeseen turn of events tests them like never before."
