> While many of us eagerly await the first on-screen sex scene to star James Marsden,
the actor himself is dreading it. The X-men hunk tells British Magazine
Closer: "It's so embarrassing with everyone watching you. It's the
opposite of romantic. I already feel like the crew are judging me, so imagine doing a sex scene."
Marsden continued, "They'd be thinking: 'Ooh, is that how he does it in
real life?' Awful! My wife would tell me to do it, though. She wants
people to see that
I'm sexy." We like her. She sounds like a smart woman. Now if only we
can get his wife to convince him to consider exposing some serious
flesh in said sex scene, we'll be all set.
> Speaking of people who take their clothes off, the Fragrance Foundation UK held its 16th annual Fifi Awards in London last night. Among the winners were Tom Ford for Men winning best new men's prestige fragrance, Marc Jacobs winning best new women's prestige fragrance with Daisy, and Christina Aguilera by Christina Aguilera winning the people's choice award for favorite celebrity fragrance. Somewhere Debbie -- er -- Deborah Gibson clutches a three-quarters empty bottle of Electric Youth and weeps.
> Talk about putting your money where your follicles are (were?)! Harrison Ford -- who serves as the vice chair of the global environmental group Conservation International -- very publicly waxed his chest to metaphorically highlight the trauma involved in deforestation. And he looks pretty damn fine doing it, if we don't say so ourselves. Which just goes to show that 1) 65-year-olds can still be hot and 2) for the right situation one is never too old to consider trying a little BDSM/light torture play.
> Wesley Snipes received the maximum sentence possible -- three years in prison -- for tax evasion yesterday. Though he was cleared of tax fraud and conspiracy felonies, a jury found him guilty of misdemeanor charges. In the days before the sentencing, friends of Snipes -- including Denzel Washington, Woody Harrelson and TV judges Joe Brown and Greg Mathis -- wrote letters praising the actor's "honesty, truth, and courage" (Washington) and asserting he "strives for rightness in all his relations" (Harrelson) in hopes of convincing the judge send down a lenient decision. Another character witness -- Robert Wall, CEO and president of World Black Belt, a martial arts training firm -- claimed "this is one of the most honorable men of character. He's made mistakes, but I'm so impressed with the depth of his character." Touching, guys -- but we think you all forgot about the part where Snipes actively avoided paying nearly $15 million in taxes by sending money to overseas accounts. And don't worry too much -- we hear prison is really character building. Just think how "impressed with the depth of his character" you'll be in three years time!
