Last gasp of marriage hoo-hah (for this week, at least)

> At the rally in West Hollywood yesterday, old-school advocate lawyers got all mushy and asked their longtime partners to get hitched (seriously, it was just stupidly adorable). They were flanked on the stage by two wedding cakes -- one real, one hollowed out but absent any surprise stripper (see above). Also in attendance for the ceremonial goings-on: Bobby Trendy, of course, decked out in half a completely ugly lavender purple bridesmaid dress. (Note: We're supposed to be improving the institution, which means all bridesmaid dresses, even on boys, must be exiled.)

> On today's Ellen, the host officially announced her intentions to legally wed Portia de Rossi. And almost cried. And it was also stupidly adorable.
