(Almost) live from Torchwood command central at Comic-Con

Much like Torchwood the TV show, there is a lot of sexual innuendo during today's panel at Comic-Con, though not a whole lot of actual gayness... Oh wait, John Barrowman just told a nervous audience member that he should treat the microphone "like it was me." I take it back.

Barrowman has a little bit of a 'stache today, and is referring audiences to his autobiography Anything Goes for topics related to his past, including how he got his start in acting and his reaction to being briefly killed off at the end of "Doctor Who" season one. (Or you could just read Out's cover piece with Barrowman from last year and consider yourself caught up.)

Paying heed to the note written on the back of nameplates that panelists should "be aware that members of the audience may be 18 or under," the panel is doing its best to keep things family-friendly. Which means that Barrowman (Captain Jack Harkness), Naoko Mori (numbers whiz Toshiko), Gareth David-Lloyd (manservant Ianto), and BBC producer Julie Gardner aren't really able to tell any stories about on-set pranks. "It's amazing what you get used to," Mori is able to say.

And when Barrowman mentions that "Eve [Myles]'s breasts are called 'the girls,' and mine are called 'the boys,'" he doesn't specify what exactly 'the boys' were, just mentions that "she'll tell me to put 'the boys' away." David-Lloyd's, um, unspecified plaything is just called "big." Gareth is painfully, painfully adorable, by the way. Those dimples! The BBC's Gardner promises that we're going to find out more about Ianto in season three. Just so long as we learn things that make him smile, preferably involving Barrowman's boys.

When talking about the smaller cast of Torchwood post-season 2 finale, someone shouts out a suggestion of a Jack/Gwen/Ianto threesome. "Oh, you guys are as sick as I am," Barrowman replies. "And I love it!" Series creator Russell T. Davies wasn't able to make it, but Barrowman, building on an earlier joke, mentions that Davies is under the table and that he is actually "a hand puppet."  Gardner quickly changes the subject.

As we draw to a close, Mori and Barrowman start singing a duet from Miss Saigon -- specifically, "The Last Night of the World." Oh, hi gayness. There you were, all along.
