Though Lily Allen recently decided to shelve Stuck On the Naughty Step -- the follow-up to her 2006 hit debut Alright, Still -- until next year (reportedly due to fears of competing against Katy Perry's album, which is poised to top the UK chart when it's released next month), a new track was leaked to the Internet earlier this week.
Though the acronym in "GWB (Fuck You Very Much)" officially stands for "Guess Who, Batman," the song is obviously a bouncy anti-ode to George W. Bush, who Allen castigates for "all the hatred [he] harbors." Bounding along in her trademark sing-songy chirp over a track that sounds like the result of the Sesame Street theme song having a sweaty one-night stand with a Top 40 radio station, Allen reveals she thinks the U.S. President is "just evil" because he says "it's not okay to be gay."
While it isn't clear if the song will end up being the first single from Stuck On the Naughty Step (whenever Allen beefs it up to her pleasing and feels it's finally ready to see the light of day) or if it's just her poison-penned goodbye note in anticipation of Bush Jr.'s coming departure, we appreciate Lily having our backs and we've already promoted "GWB" to commander-in-chief of our iPods for the week.
