If you're a young Hollywood heartthrob consistently dogged by speculation regarding your sexuality, what would you do to put the rumors to rest? Certainly not appear on the cover of two gay magazines in as many months! (We're not even counting when he was on our cover.)
Okay, okay, Chace Crawford, we'll admit that VMAN is not technically a gay magazine -- they're not even as obviously closeted as Details, Crawford's last cover role -- but is getting primped and pampered to a shiny pin-up gloss really how you expect to stop the questions?
On the other hand, VMAN has a similar proportion of youthful male stars and models in various stages of undress while wearing far too much makeup as the CW, home of Crawford's Gossip Girl.
Crawford is quoted in the article as saying, "I don’t know if I could pull off a Kevin Spacey, but I'll try!" If Crawford means keeping his sexuality in question well into his fifties, then he’s off to a great start.
