Just when we thought our excitement for a comeback couldn't get any more fevered than it did when we saw Britney's "Womanizer" video, we find out Ace of Base is releasing a new album next year! Details are slim to non-existent but it seems likely the Swedish pop stars -- minus Malin Berggren, who left the group in 2007 -- will be back with new music sometime next spring.
To whet fans' appetites, Ace of Base will release a three-disc greatest hits CD/DVD set on November 10. The collection includes one CD of hits, one CD of remixes, and a DVD of containing their music videos. Two new remixes -- one for the band's first underground hit single "Wheel of Fortune," and one for chart topper "Don't Turn Around" -- are also part of the package. We can't wait and aren't the least bit ashamed to admit that we still listen to "The Sign" at least a few times a month. Need a refresher?
That song was quite possibly the only thing that made sophomore year of high school worth living through -- so we were thrilled to discover this new LA band, Teen Hearts, doing an awesome cover of it, too. Listen to their take here.
