> Today is National Coming Out Day. This year is especially meaningful because it is the 20th anniversary of the Gay & Lesbian March on Washington and unfurling of the AIDS Memorial Quilt on the National Mall. With this in mind, the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) premieres a new public service announcement from Grey's Anatomy star T.R. Knight. "The 20-second spot, unveiled in recognition of National Coming Out Day, features Knight telling viewers how important it is to accept their gay friends and family members. The PSA is also a landmark for Knight personally, as one year ago, he came out in the October 19, 2006 issue of People magazine. He made history, becoming the first actor to publicly come out while appearing on one of the nation's top-rated shows." Watch the video here.

> George Clooney is not on this list. The confirmed bachelor continues to be seen in oh-so-very public places with his new "girlfriend" and has now graduated to "canoodling" (with! video!) for the paparazzi. Clooney and the, umm, "GF" manage to make Page Six twice! in one day. Geez, you'd think Clooney has a movie "coming out" ... or something.
> Ricky Martin is also not on this list. Via Queerty, on the eve of National Coming Out Day, "the ambiguously gay singer’s still playing pretend with his back-up dancer."

> Jenifer Beals dishes her experience on the L-Word. "I never thought about it as being groundbreaking, I just thought, 'Wow, this is a fantastic character to play,' and she’s complicated and interesting and it was just a wonderful gift more than anything else."

HAPPY NATIONAL COMING OUT DAY!
