Speaking of television that won't make you wait, yay for the British, again! We'll get season two of Torchwood here in the US starting on January 26th!
Here's the trailer -- please of course pay particular attention to one very special guest star ready to pick a fight with anyone else who claims to have been Captain Jack's best.
And a pic of said guest star and more associated spoilers after the jump...
From BBC America's official release:
Captain Jack returns to battle a rogue Time Agent, the charismatic-but-psychopathic Captain John Hart, played by James Marsters (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Smallville). Captain John is determined to wreak havoc when he appears through the Rift under Cardiff, looking for Captain Jack. Not only does he disrupt Captain Jack’s homecoming but the whole team, the city and world are suddenly in grave danger. From the moment these two Time Agents come face-to-face, it’s apparent they have a history — but with Gwen’s life in danger, and cluster bombs scattered across the city, whose side is Jack on?
Barrowman told me for our October cover story that Marsters was a serious contender:
Which of the guys you've kissed on screen or on stage was the best kisser?
John Barrowman: Alexis Denisof is a very good kisser. Also a very good kisser at the moment is James Marsters. But -- I shouldn't have revealed that to you. Can I give you another? [Ed. note: The loose-lipped Marsters, who will appear on the second season of Torchwood, recently told fans that Barrowman was a better kisser than Sarah Michelle Gellar.]
Also I love how this preview makes the show look like even more of an X-Files, uh, homage than ever! The ending shot of the guy saying, "They're already here" is nearly a word for word, uh, homage to not only an early Mulder & Scully episode but also the X-Files feature film. They've been here for a long, long time!

Season 2 hasn't aired in England yet. It airs at the same time as BBC America.
