Quickies: Miley ousts the gays, new evil need apply, and megapuss gets mega-naked

> We have to admit we were a bit shocked that Miley Cyrus would choose to have her sweet 16 party at Disneyland the same weekend that tens of thousands of gays are scheduled to descend upon the park for the annual Gay Days celebration. Sure, Miley is a bona fide diva-in-training and the 5,000 screaming teenage girls spending $250 each to attend the birthday party probably have similar tastes in music as most of the gays who would be cruising in the hour-long line for Space Mountain, but still, something just didn't added up. And we were right. It's now been announced that Disneyland will close early Saturday, October 4, to prepare for Miley's party and the gays will be forced to cavort else where for the evening. It just goes to show that no matter how far we think we've come, one 15-year-old with a live mic gets priority over 30,000 LGBT folks ready to spend their disposable incomes on $22 burgers and $46 rainbow-tinged mouse ears.

Of course we're not suggesting that any of you attempt to sabotage Miley Cyrus' Sweet 16 Celebration at Disneyland, but if you were to try it and you happened to get it on film, we're guessing that might make you a shoo-in for winning a place on the Evil League of Evil.

> There are more than just lyrics and credits in the booklet for the debut album, Surfing, from Megapuss, a new duo comprised of musician Devendra Banhart and Priestbird's Greg Rogove. There are also lots of penis shots. Already out in digital format, the album will be in stores on October 7, but fans, the horny, and the just plain curious can check out the men's meat by downloading a PDF file of the booklet, or just swinging by Pitchfork where the images are on display (it goes without saying -- don't click over if having penises popping up on your computer screen is going to get you trouble). We're not sure what inspired the racy photos, but seeing as Banhart just split from Natalie Portman, it seems like the perfect time and an ingenious way to entice potential paramours.

ok, people are just losing their common sense. I'm absolutely NOT against LGBT people but i think it's completely outrageous to have the gay day celebration in disneyland, a theme park who was originally made for children and families. I've heard what gays do in front of kids in that gay day and, believe me, it's shocking, even to me. I'm not against LGBT or gay day but i think they should celebrate it elsewhere.

If it's so important for an already diva (not in training) and her father who started the basic dyke haircut in the 80's to change an event that celebrates anyone and everyone who not only dares to be different but shines pride in their everyday life. The gays who support such wonderful TRUE Diva's like Madonna, Beyonce, Christina and Brittany, that support Gay Rights perhaps should boycott Gay day at Disney. Maybe it would send more of a message by not spending their money to be ousted for a birthday party for the QueenTeen of discrimination and self indulgence. Gay day is only one day of the year and thats much more important than celebrating a pissy little disney tween queen, who's acting is repetative and cue delivered and her music more commercially disney musical than real Rock and Roll!!!!!
Why not share the stage Mylie cause the gays can make or break a career after your fan base grows beyond twelve. She should embrace this opportunity. Cause I can guarantee with a party full of gays it would be the best party she could ever imagine having. Grow up and have the time of your life without all the kiddies. It's a very disappointing move Mylie and Disney.
