Fall Out Boy mans up with $50k for No on 8
As not-so-subtly hinted at last week by our August cover boy Pete Wentz, Fall Out Boy just gave $50,000 to California's No on 8 campaign, the effort to stop a state constitutional amendment that would overturn the legalization of same-sex marriage.
Last week Wentz blogged, "There are a lot of causes out there -- a lot of 'good' fights to be fought. I think proposition 8 is pretty lame -- as many others do too. It's fucking lame."
On Wednesday, Equality California passed along this statement from the band about the donation: "We believe government shouldn't legislate love. Vote no on proposition 8."
Slightly more suitable for a press release, but not any less eloquent. Rock the fuck on, Fall Out Boy!

Let's hear it for America's Suitehearts!

I'm very happy to hear a lot of celebrities are supporting No on 8.

I'm not exactly eloquent when it comes to words so, basically, this is what I want to say:
